Praying For Our Children

   Each night as I put my daughter to sleep I pray for her and speak words of affirmation to her. Two of the things that I have been praying for her lately have been these two verses. What powerful words to pray over our kids each night before they go to sleep. Try memorizing these, and have them in your arsenal to empower your children through the power of prayer. Standing in the gap, fighting for our children, empowering them to be great, and being the men God has called us to be to lead our family by example...that is what it is about.

 Ephesians 4:17 “And I pray that you , being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge-that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

Phillipians 1:9-11 And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ- to the glory and praise of God.

Put Some Clothes On!!!!!

Isaiah 52:1 "Awake, awake, O Zion, clothe yourself with strength. Put on your garments of splendor......."

    Isaiah's words from God urging his people to get up and look at ourselves like God sees us couldn't be better for what I need to think about in the morning. Put away the things of old and the thoughts that we aren’t good enough, and don't let the past sin and struggles that we have repented from have any power over us. Let us embrace daily our identity as men empowered by the one true living God who has taken all of our deficiencies, inadequacies, and short comings, and thrown them away to only give us great freedom and power through His Spirit. God is standing beside your bed each morning waiting for you to get dressed, dressed in His strength and splendor. The image of God standing there beside our beds as we wake up with a shirt of strength and with His coat of splendor is a powerful one. How great it is that we can take on each day empowered, clothed in God's strength and splendor because we said yes to salvation and we are His children.
    Picture this every morning as you wake up, God is waiting beside your bed with what He has prepared for you to put on, and get ready for the time of your life!
